A very Pink Girlie christmas

Hello fellow bloggers, well I have been trying to get on with my family cards for christmas and have finally made a start. I have made 2 of these cards for the little girls who love pink!

I started off with pearl card with has a lovely sheen on it, I then diecut a teddy this is the 'boo the bear' fab when made with other colours. I chalked him in a baby pink although from the photo it is hard to tell. I then finished with lots of glamour dust and lots of glossy accents it almost looks like shiny plastic when in the light. I made it all 3d by adding foam pads where needed. The ribbon is organza from my hoards of ribbon stash! the snowflake is layered and of course the fab mariannes and I have added a brad and rhinestone spacer which then has the chain attached to the rear and a snowflake charm to finish.

I added all the sentiment on the pc through my virtual card in publisher and it also has like a watermarked background with a hint of snowflakes. The stars are from the xcut punch which cuts thick cardstock like a dream.

Well thats all for now. I have just ordered some Tilda papers so am waiting for them to arrive.
I have a compressor and airgun arriving shortly this week so I can have a play with airbrushing with my copics so will make a post on those. I was going to do a comparison between the stamping cardstock, promarkers and copics soon i may even make a video if I can figure out how to put it all together.
hugs to you all

My first card using copics

Good Morning my fellow bloggers
My fab hubby has bought me some copics for my birthday and have been playing with the for the last few days. I prefer them from promarkers because they seem to blend more smoothly and with little effort. I have used the Neenah solar white cardstock which certainly is one of the best to use with alchohol markers and I have to tell you that this was extremely theraputic.
I have used paper mania exsquisite papers and I love the neutral yet pastel shades they really complement each other well.
I have mounted the onto some pearlescent gold shimmer beige card although it doesnt show up so well in the pictures.
The flowers were from Wild orchid crafts have a large stash of flowers from the toppers I used to make so they are coming in really handy now, when I mean a large stash I mean about 5 drawers full!!! I really like to add a bit of greenery with flowers I think it sets them off lovely and is a nice contrast for all the light colours.
The charm is from my stash and as I wasnt going to use distress inks on this card I wanted a nice bright silver charm and this one is really decorative and goes with the pink beautifully.
I have use the georgeous pretty pink satin wide ribbon and made one of my signature bows lovely for making puffy and a great addition to this card. Finally the pearls! I wanted to add something else but couldnt decide what so I have left it at that, although I still think there is something missing.
I hope my colouring comes up to scratch, One thing about me is that I will persevere to get things right and will have this down to a T Soon (I hope lol) as they say practice makes perfect.
I would also maybe like to be part of a design team, I would love that but dont know how to go about doing it can anyone help me? please contact me if you can point me in the right direction.
Well thats all for today I want to go back and play some more.
Will be back soon

WOJ - Whiff of Joy and Georgeous Ribbon

Evening fellow Bloggers!!
Well have been busy making my cards today, only seemed to have managed the one.
I take sooo long in the planning really I dont think I would get any points for mass production.
I started with the papers, which are anitas from last years stash, I have distressed the edges with the tim holtz distress inks then mounted onto some textured navy cardstock.
I have mixed and matched the spellbinders labels and petite ovals for this image which is the beautiful Whiff Of joy lady she is so pretty and I couldnt resist her at the craft shop yesterday.
Fab ladies they do all sorts of crafty things and the shop is relatively new but has all the goodies you could want.
The brad and spacer is from the Hobby house, the chain and charm is from ebay. The ribbon believe it or not is from matalans, I was going to use this on my christmas tree but never got round to it, so it has been in the back of my drawer for around 12 months.
I have used loads of bling (glam dust) the die cut snowflakes are the best die ladies mariannes
Hope you like this I will be placing my cards on ebay if you would like to purchase them!
need to fund more lovely goodies
Ta for now will be back soon
Hugs

Another lovely LOTV

Good Afternoon Bloggers!!!!

I have been trying to get some of my christmas cards finished, it just seems to take me ages to do one card let alone 50 which really I need to do as a minimum.

I am not too sure on the colours on this card! As I am relatively new to crafting well around 18 months I am now loving all the decorative papers out there. But cant seem to bring myself to cut some of the up as they are too nice to use!!!

This paper is from the 'Christmas Joy' digi set from Bearly mine a fantastic range of digital backgrounds from a very clever lady. Its well worth having a look on her website they all have a vintage feel and have the lovely rough edged detail in the print which means you dont necessarily have to use the distress inks on the edges.

The ribbon is a Sheer 38mm organza ribbon which does have particuarly lovely shimmer to it although the camera has not picked this up. I have embellished it with loads of glitter around the edges and the doily, the flower is again one of the fab ones from the marianne range, I have used a metallic gold spacer for the centre which I have ordered lots and just waiting for them to arrive. The sentiments are from my stash, the corners are from the cuttlebug vintage set

I just need to get a little more confident with using colours and lots of different mats etc

Well happy crafting everyone

Hugs

Another Lili of the valley Christmas card

I have spent ages on this card! firstly with all the glitter, diamond dust for the flowers and that fiddly bow.

This lili of the valley stamp has got to be my fav so far, I hope you agree. Its great to stamp and is soooo cute.

The poinsettias are of course marianne's all the shapes are from my doted collection of spellbinders which I love they look fab once they have been finished with the embossing round the edges.

The sentiment is from the pc and the ribbon from my gorgeous collections of ribbon which I collect and cant seem to get enough.
Will post again soon
take care &
happy crafting

Christmas in Pink!!

Good Morning All!
I really can't stop using these images so have bought a few more, they are from lili of the valley.
I have used my new lacey spellbinders for this one, I have cut 2 and layered them both with the plain circle nestabilities also. I then made a strip of card in the coordinating colour like a consertina to attach the card from the rear. I love this shape of card, it is around 4 inches in size so quite small but still I think this works great.

The image has been coloured in my beloved promarkers. I usually use 2 or 3 different shade variations of the coat but this time I only used 1 and to make that watercolour look I have also added the blender pen after. If you haven't got many colours then the blender pen is a must!!

I have used the Tim Holtz distress inks around the edge (spun sugar) and blended them whilst still in the nestie to make the edge refined. The flowers are from marianne minis poinsettias they are a little fiddly but gives a great embellishment when covered with the diamond dust twinklets, it has a finish like fine glass.
The sentiments are from Cuddly Buddly which come in a set of 4 for the festive occasion, great for the cute cards. These have been embossed in pink and finished with of course the glamour dust, as is the same glitter used to finish the image off for that super sparkly snowy effect.

Well hope I have covered most of this one, if you have any questions about the products used please do send me a message or leave a comment.

Thanks for looking I will be posting again soon.

Another day, another card!
I have used lots of different techniques on this one.
Firstly I have embossed the background with a large dots papermania embossing folder, I didnt want anything too fancy as I wanted the ribbon and plaque to be the main focal point.
This house been mounted onto a lovely shade of lilac cardstock from stash.
I have used spellbinders labels for the plaques and finished the edge with a silver leaf pen, I have tried a few over the last few weeks but this is one of the brightest ones I have found, I particularly like the krylon 18ct gold one that is fantastic and is not dull at all I cant recommend these enough!!
The ribbon was from my stash which is the 38mm width, this was a little fiddly but I think it has turned out fine.
The roses were made with the 5 petal punch, which were cut and layered, then finally finished with glamour dust and edged with a lilac cats eyes pigment pad.
The Rose leaves were with the Xcut cut and emboss range.
The flourishes were of course marianne's her dies are superb and when cut tend to look like metal I really am liking these at the moment.
I have to mention the diamontes, I get this from ebay and will only ever buy these from her! I have had lots in the past but some are either too big or quite dull, hers are full of colour and so shiny they actually do look like diamontes
If you would like any details of where I purchase my stash from please do drop me a email.
Well thats it from me for today, Thanks for looking and happy crafting.
