Mothers Day is coming!!!

Morning All

Well the sun is shining in my craft room and I am so glad summer is on its way.

Mothers day is coming again, I love this time of year, it gives you chance to craft for the family again which I love making and sending cards to!!

This is a keepsake boxed drawer card which I made for my lovely mum, she lives very far away and even though we talk on the phone, I do miss her dearly.

This is 6 x 6 in size and let me tell you I dont think I will be making another!!! 3 attempts at making the drawer so it fitted perfectly.  I have used some papers that I know she will like and she loves flowers so thought I would get the pearl spray out and give those some shimmer with some added butterflies and decorative leaves.  Of course my signature bow and that dazzling sparkling ribbon I couldnt resist.  The corners are of course my fav mariannes, I made the pins myself, was going to add more but after the 2 and a half hours it took to make I was all crafted out!!!

The drawer embellishment I made also out of a brad and spacer I think it fits this perfectly

Thats all for now, please leave a comment it would be great to hear what you think!!

Kenny K Birthday

Hello All, Well another day another card~!!

This is for my niece I hope she likes it!! I thought that this image is perfect for the girlie teenager and hope its not too revealing...  I just love these images they are so trendy especially for the latest generation!!

I started off with a 6 x 6 Card blank and have used the lovely my minds eye papers from this is from one of the huge pads, although I dont think you can see much of it... Lol...

The image is kenny k, I have edged it with a glorious stamp from the stempelglede grunge collection which I think finishes off the edges just right. I have threaded the gorgeous ribbon and also added some lovely guipure lace which I sewed onto the card with my sewing machine, I find this easier than glueing!! I have stitched around the edge, the black is very bold so I am not too sure about it but it seems to go together nicely.

The roses are from WOC and the other flowers are from the works shop which they do have in most town centres.  I have used a heart charm and chain, threaded decorative pins which i have made myself by adding the decorative cups.

The sentiment is from lili of the valley I love those round stamps they cover so many occasions and are just fab.

That is all for today, if you have any questions please do get in touch, As I am still relatively new to blogging please do leave a comment it would be great to hear your comments.

Happy Crafting

Pretty Tilda

Good Morning bloggers!!

Well, I have quite a few birthdays coming up so I thought I would make a start. This is for a special little girl who loves pink!! I struggled with finding the correct shade of pink for her dress and i am still not happy with the result!! everything has to be matching or I'm not happy.

I ended up using different mediums for the colouring so decided because of the shade to go with copics and prisma pencils.

Papers - papermania

colouring mediums - copics and prisma pencils blended with sansador

Other embellishments - flourishes, butterfly, leaves, text from cricut and diecut marianne corners

The charm, chain, brad and spacer are all from my lovely stash!!

I hope you like it, please do leave a comment as I would love to know what you think!!

Good Morning Fellow Bloggers!!!
Sorry I havent posted for ages, seem to have been so so busy and not much time for card making.

I had my neices birthday coming up well, one of them anyway and she is only 6 so wanted something really girlie for a lovely little girl.... Well anything girlie is right up my street!!!

Decided to go with Tilda, cant help myself with these, I dont know what it is about them but am getting addicted to colouring them!.. I have got to used my lovely copics which i am now getting to grips with using them and have to say I think they are the Best well in my opinion anyway an apsolute dream to work with and they have such a superior blend between colours (on the right card of course). I have used a combination of really pale blues today which match the backing paper, I usually start with my colour chart and then match the shades up that way I find this works best for me well enough about that what about the Card!!!
I have used papermania old papers - blueberry hill and matched it up with the neutral card as I wanted it to look clean and fresh all nice light colours.

I made the tags using an Xcut tag punch and printed the letters individually then cut them out using the punch, i then matted it onto some cardstock to get a nice outline then punched tiny holes in the top and added more ribbon.

The ribbon oh ribbon I have so many this is my downfall as I cannot stop collecting them (well hoarding) White beautiful fresh organza border and bow which has a sheen to die for and finished that with a spacer and pearl.

The flowers are from WOC I have also added Leaves, and a lovely little mesh butterfly to match.
The flourishes are by quickcutz and have been embellished with pearls

Tilda has been coloured with copics and cut out which has then been mounted on to an airbrushed background using the copic airbrush system.
I have added a border of contrasting paper to match which has also been finished with pearls and finally i have lavished this all with glitter, glitter and more glitter
Well thats all for now, thanks for looking and I promise I will post more soon.

A very Pink Girlie christmas

Hello fellow bloggers, well I have been trying to get on with my family cards for christmas and have finally made a start. I have made 2 of these cards for the little girls who love pink!

I started off with pearl card with has a lovely sheen on it, I then diecut a teddy this is the 'boo the bear' fab when made with other colours. I chalked him in a baby pink although from the photo it is hard to tell. I then finished with lots of glamour dust and lots of glossy accents it almost looks like shiny plastic when in the light. I made it all 3d by adding foam pads where needed. The ribbon is organza from my hoards of ribbon stash! the snowflake is layered and of course the fab mariannes and I have added a brad and rhinestone spacer which then has the chain attached to the rear and a snowflake charm to finish.

I added all the sentiment on the pc through my virtual card in publisher and it also has like a watermarked background with a hint of snowflakes. The stars are from the xcut punch which cuts thick cardstock like a dream.

Well thats all for now. I have just ordered some Tilda papers so am waiting for them to arrive.
I have a compressor and airgun arriving shortly this week so I can have a play with airbrushing with my copics so will make a post on those. I was going to do a comparison between the stamping cardstock, promarkers and copics soon i may even make a video if I can figure out how to put it all together.
hugs to you all

My first card using copics

Good Morning my fellow bloggers
My fab hubby has bought me some copics for my birthday and have been playing with the for the last few days. I prefer them from promarkers because they seem to blend more smoothly and with little effort. I have used the Neenah solar white cardstock which certainly is one of the best to use with alchohol markers and I have to tell you that this was extremely theraputic.
I have used paper mania exsquisite papers and I love the neutral yet pastel shades they really complement each other well.
I have mounted the onto some pearlescent gold shimmer beige card although it doesnt show up so well in the pictures.
The flowers were from Wild orchid crafts have a large stash of flowers from the toppers I used to make so they are coming in really handy now, when I mean a large stash I mean about 5 drawers full!!! I really like to add a bit of greenery with flowers I think it sets them off lovely and is a nice contrast for all the light colours.
The charm is from my stash and as I wasnt going to use distress inks on this card I wanted a nice bright silver charm and this one is really decorative and goes with the pink beautifully.
I have use the georgeous pretty pink satin wide ribbon and made one of my signature bows lovely for making puffy and a great addition to this card. Finally the pearls! I wanted to add something else but couldnt decide what so I have left it at that, although I still think there is something missing.
I hope my colouring comes up to scratch, One thing about me is that I will persevere to get things right and will have this down to a T Soon (I hope lol) as they say practice makes perfect.
I would also maybe like to be part of a design team, I would love that but dont know how to go about doing it can anyone help me? please contact me if you can point me in the right direction.
Well thats all for today I want to go back and play some more.
Will be back soon

WOJ - Whiff of Joy and Georgeous Ribbon

Evening fellow Bloggers!!
Well have been busy making my cards today, only seemed to have managed the one.
I take sooo long in the planning really I dont think I would get any points for mass production.
I started with the papers, which are anitas from last years stash, I have distressed the edges with the tim holtz distress inks then mounted onto some textured navy cardstock.
I have mixed and matched the spellbinders labels and petite ovals for this image which is the beautiful Whiff Of joy lady she is so pretty and I couldnt resist her at the craft shop yesterday.
Fab ladies they do all sorts of crafty things and the shop is relatively new but has all the goodies you could want.
The brad and spacer is from the Hobby house, the chain and charm is from ebay. The ribbon believe it or not is from matalans, I was going to use this on my christmas tree but never got round to it, so it has been in the back of my drawer for around 12 months.
I have used loads of bling (glam dust) the die cut snowflakes are the best die ladies mariannes
Hope you like this I will be placing my cards on ebay if you would like to purchase them!
need to fund more lovely goodies
Ta for now will be back soon
Hugs
